Dr. Chukwuma M. Okoroji, MD, FAAFP, FACOG, started Nature Coast Women's Care & Family Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida, to be an advocate for his patients’ health throughout all stages of their life. Dr. Okoroji follows a holistic approach to medicine and focuses on empowering his patients through education.
He is board-certified in both family practice and obstetrics and gynecology and is also a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
His medical training began in Nigeria, where he attended medical school at the University of Ibadan and then completed his internship at Ahmadu Bello University. After spending several years working internationally, Dr. Okoroji came to the United States and completed his residency in family medicine at New York Medical College, St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Yonkers, New York. He then attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
In addition to taking care of patients at his practice, Dr. Okoroji formally served as the chairman of the Department of OB/GYN at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Florida. He also works as an assistant clinical professor in obstetrics and gynecology at the Florida State University College of Medicine at the Tallahassee Regional Campus.
When he’s not working, Dr. Okoroji spends time with his wife and four children. He is also an active member of his local church.
Elizabeth is a native of Tallahassee, Florida and attended Leon High School. She obtained a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Florida State University and a Masters in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her degree foci were adult/ gerontology and women’s health.
Employed by Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for a total of 10 years, Elizabeth worked in the Cardiovascular ICU and Labor & Delivery. She has also acquired experience as a clinical instructor at Keiser School of Nursing and as a Quality Assurance/ Education Coordinator for the Medical Unit at the Leon County Jail.
Elizabeth is married to David Miller, and is Mommy to 3 little girls. She enjoys spending time with her family, off shore fishing, and Pilates.
Tamearia is from Cairo, GA and attended Georgia Southern University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. She completed her Healthcare Administrative Internship with Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA before joining the Nature Coast team. She is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and currently serves as President of the Occupational Advisory Committee for the Business Management & Administration program at Lively Technical College. In her free time, Tamearia enjoys playing golf, tennis, and vacationing with her family.
